Dr. Lyle B. Cobb, 82, died Saturday, July 29, 1972 in a Madison hospital following a long illness. He was bom in Sun Prairie and was a practicing veterinarian in the Sun Prairie area for 59 years. He graduated from McKillip Veterinary College in Chicago in 1912. He was honored for 50 years of service by the Wisconsin Veterinary Assn. in 1963. Dr. Cobb was a member of the United Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge, the county, state, and national veterinary associations, and the American Trotting Association. He married the farmer Marie Copp on Dec. 6, 1913 in Sun Prairie. Surviving are his wife; a son, Dr. Paul Cobb of Lake Mills; three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Tuschen Funeral Home where friends may call after 4 p.m. Monday. WSJ 7/30/1972
