Jose A. Cisneros, 81, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2010 at his home of natural causes. He resided at 7696 South Chapel Street (415 West) in Midvale, Utah at the time of his death.

Joe was born September 8, 1929 in Questa, New Mexico to Abenicio and Ursulita Cisneros.

He graduated from Questa High School and later served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He moved to Utah in 1953 and made Midvale his home. He retired from Kennecott Copper after thirty-five years of service.

Joe was a devoted father to his family and enjoyed sharing stories of life in New Mexico. He was a wonderful man with a great sense of humor and gentle smile. He will be missed greatly by his family and everyone who knew him.

Joe is survived by his current wife, Gladys Rodriguez; and children: Josie (Jerry), Ron, Marcus (Michelle), Jose Jr.; step-daughter, Tatiana (Joseph); ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brother, Medardo; and sisters, Lola and Evelyn. Preceded in death by wife, Precilla (1999); and daughter, Nadine (2005).

A viewing will be held on Monday, November 1, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 p.m., with The Holy Rosary at 7:30 p.m., at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State Street (100 East), Midvale. Mass will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Therese Catholic Church, 624 West Lennox, Midvale, with a viewing one hour prior at the Church.
Interment will follow in the Redwood Memorial Estates Cemetery.
