BAXTER Funeral services for Arnold Dewey Allison, 93, of Baxter will be held Thursday, October 18, in the chapel of Baxter Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, October 17, from 5-9 p.m.

Mr. Allison died Tuesday, October 16, 2001, at NHC Healthcare Center.

Son of the late Arthur and Maggie Cole Allison, he was born October 7, 1908, in Putnam County.

Mr. Allison was a retired carpenter and a member of the Boma Church of God.

His family includes a son, Theodore Allison of Baxter; two daughters, Paula Prichard of Columbia, South Carolina and Mary McBroom of Cookeville; a brother, Travis Allison of Arizona; a sister, Minnie Lowe of Cookeville; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Allison; a daughter, Jean Lafever; two brothers, Jude and Carmel Allison; and three sisters, Ruby Maynard, Ginny Burks and Meda Boyd.
Bros. Archie Whitefield and Jim Holifield will officiate at the services.
