He married Betty Joy Cooley 18 May 1949. Later they were divorced. They had three children who were adopted to other families. They are: Richard Lee Wallberg (Richard Lee Wailes), Jenny Kaye Wallberg (Nancy Kaye Wilcock), Marvin George Wallberg (Ronald Hindmarsh)
He then married Betty Lou Clauson and had the following children: Jane Wallberg, Gloria Wallberg, Lola Wallberg, Vicki Jo Wallberg (Vicki Jo Barfus), Diane Wallberg, & Steven Wallberg. He died shortly after Steve was born and Betty Lou couldn't handle 6 children on her own so some of the relatives took part of the children and some others were adopted out.
