Andy served in the U.S. Army during WW II in England, France, Belgium and Germany. He was awarded the Purple Heart from injuries recieved during heavy fighting in the Black Forest. He was a member of the Luella Baptist Church and Purple Heart Chapter 612, VFW and DAV. He retired from Perrin Air Force Base and was a life long farmer and rancher in the Luella area.
