STAUNTON - Boyd Menefee Glover, 91, of Brightview at Baldwin Park, Staunton, and formerly of Waynesboro, died Tuesday, (Oct. 18, 2005), at Augusta Medical Center, Fishersville. He was born Aug. 28, 1914, in Weyers Cave, a son of Alfred and Fleta Stoner Glover. He was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church for over 50 years. An Army veteran of World War II, and recipient of the Bronze Star, he retired from DuPont with 44 years of service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister and five brothers. Surviving are his wife, Hope McFall Glover of Brightview at Baldwin Park, Staunton; his son, Boyd M. Glover Jr. and wife, Lisa, of Verona; a sister, Margaret Bowman of Penn Laird; a brother and his wife, Russell and Louise Glover of Mt. Crawford; 3 grandsons, Chip Glover of Waynesboro, and Jamie & Michael Glover of Verona; and numerous nieces & nephews. A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at McDow Funeral Home by the Rev. Gary Milstead. Interment will follow in Augusta Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be his grandsons, and nephews, Bill Dickson, Mac Dickson, Hugh Hall, Sam Long, and Don McFall. The family will receive friends from 10-10:45 a.m. Saturday at McDow Funeral Home. The family has requested that Memorial donations be made to a charity of one's choice.
