Evelyn Emily Budge Botts Farley of Venice died April 6, 2010.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Venice Church of the Nazarene, with burial to follow at Venice Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Farley was a graduate of Petersburg Hospital School of Nursing in Petersburg, Va.
She moved to Venice in 1941 and was a private duty nurse at the Florida Medical Center, serving under Dr. Fred Albee. Mrs. Farley was employed at Venice Hospital for 16 years. She was a member of the American Nurses Association and Florida Nurses Association, District 44; and a member of Venice Nokomis Woman's club. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Venice and a member of the Venice Church of the Nazarene.
Mrs. Farley is survived by her sister, Bernice Dietrich of Port Royal, Va; six stepchildren, Joe and Anita Farley, Mark and Wilma Farley, Mary and Carl Marr, David and Joanne Farley, Sally and Jim Gabel and Philip and Rowena Farley; 16 Farley grandchildren; 32 Farley great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews Susan Dietrich, Henry Dietrich, James and Joan Dietrich, Donna and Frank Cavallaro, Linda and Richard Pomerleau, Nancy and George McKinnis and several other nieces and nephews; and godchildren Alan, Mike and Jack Shrode.
She was predeceased by her husband, George Botts, in 1957 and her husband, John Farley, in 1993.
