Iris Dubendorf, formerly of Milroy, died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011, at Centre Crest, Bellefonte. She was born Oct. 9, 1926, in Lewistown, daughter of the late Roy B. Rothrock and Lillian (Peris) Rothrock. Iris is a 1944 graduate of Milroy High School and a 1960 graduate of Juniata College and she did graduate studies at Penn State and University of Delaware. She was a teacher for 13 years in Mifflin County School District and a Teacher and Educational Diagnostician for 18 years in New Castle, Del. She is survived by one son, Scott Reber, of Newark, Del.; two daughters, Stephanie Cunningham, of Camp Hill and Sally Houser, of Bellefonte; one step son, Kurt D. Dubendorf, of Yeagertown; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and one brother, Harry A. Rothrock, of McVeytown. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Peter C. Dubendorf, on Oct. 31, 1997; and one sister, Gladys M. Tate. All services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Alzeheimers Association. Arrangements by Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville.
