EDDYVILLE, KY - Eldress Dottie Sue Bacon, 56, died July 25, 2005 at Western Baptist Hospital. She was pastor of Mt. Zion Freewill Baptist Church in Salem. She was vice-moderator of the Eddyville District Conference until her election as moderator.

Surviving are three children, Francyenne (Steve) Maynard of Arlington, Texas, Julian (Tasha) Crawford of Crayne, and Lamont (Jami) Davis of Dallas, Texas; two brothers, James Crawford of Salem and Jerry Crawford of Paducah; an aunt Addie Crawford of Salem; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Jean Crawford.

Services will be at 11 a.m., July 30 at Gilbert Funeral Home with Rev. Lawrence Millikan officiating. Burial will be in Lewis Cemetery.
