She was born at Welsh Run, a daughter of the late Edward and Margaret Divelbiss Anderson. The family came to Waynesboro when she was a child and she lived here since then.
Miss Anderson was a graduate of Waynesboro High School. Following her graduation she took the Civil Service examination and was employed at the Waynesboro Post Office from 1901 to 1951, completing 50 years of service.
She was a member of the Methodist Church and is survived by two nieces and one nephew.
