Clyde Wilbur Billings, 64, of Fayetteville, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010, at Fayetteville. He was born July 27, 1946, in Summit, Ark., the son of Van and Eula Hardin Billings. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War; attended and graduated from Farmington Schools.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Thurman, Virgil, Ellis, Cleve and Everett Billings; his sisters, Louise Latam, Lazell Willsey and Lucia Gideon; and two half-sisters, Ruth Johnson and Ruby Patterson.
Survivors include one brother, Farrell Billings of Flippin, Ark.; three sisters, Ethna Billings and Vanetta Dunn, both of Fayetteville, and Charlsie Billings of Farmington; sister-in-law, Viva Billings of Farmington; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services was at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010, at Beard's Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Farmington Cemetery.
Visitation was friday oct 22 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Family request that following the interment at the cemetery, all friends and family bring a potluck dish to Clyde's home for food and fellowship.
