News has been received in Martinsville of the death of Mr. Chesley M. Ziegler of Glade Hill, Franklin County, Va.
His death occurred Sunday afternoon as a result of a stroke of paralysis.
He was 85 years of age and served as a Soldier in the Confederate Army.
He had been an invalid during the last part of his life as a result of paralysis.
He was born within sight of his home at which he died and had been a life long resident of that immediate section of Franklin County.
He is survived by his widow, seven children and numerous grandchildren.
Those surviving him are Morton Ziegler of Norton, Va., Frank and Michael of Richlands, Va. and Woody Ziegler who lives with his parents; Mrs. Jim Booth of Pen Hook, Mrs. James Jeter of Glade Hill and Mrs. D. S. Davis of MARTINSVILLE.
Funeral from the family home at Glade Hill with interment in the family cemetery.
