James Buford "Jimmy" Famuliner, 89, Harrisonville, MO, died Friday, August 13, 2010 at his home in Harrisonville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville with visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the chapel. Burial will be in Garden City Cemetery, Garden City, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cass Career Center, ATTN: FFA Advisor, FFA Chapter, 1600 East Elm Street, Harrisonville, MO 64701.

Jim was born April 14, 1921 on the family farm in Harrisonville, MO, the son of James Buford and Martha Belle (Shumate) Famuliner, Sr. He married Mamie C. Brewington on April 26, 1942 at the Harrisonville First Christian Church parsonage.
Jim was a WWII Navy veteran. He was a farmer and he and Mamie lived on the family farm, “A Century Farm”, which has been in existence for over 105 years. He was a former “Flying Farmer”. He worked as a union electrician/journeyman before retiring. He was a member of Local 124 IBEW for 70 years and was a member of the First Christian Church in Harrisonville. Jim enjoyed putting together videos of the family, family reunions, the farm, etc. He started this hobby when the first video equipment became available.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Mamie, of the home; two daughters, Sharon Deleon of Harrisonville and Dorthy Jungmeyer and her husband, Ernie of Peculiar, MO; four grandsons, Lance Jungmeyer and his wife, Erin, Juan Carlos de Leon and his wife, Becky, Brandon Jungmeyer and Jaime de Leon and his wife, Aura and two great-grandchildren, Dylan and Isabella de Leon.
