Andrew Jackson, 81, a resident of Muncie Health Care Center, died Friday evening at Ball Hospital.

A native of Sparta, Tenn., he came to Muncie in 1946, where he worked for several years at Owren Kirklin & Sons, Inc. Construction Co. His wife, Dovie, died in 1971.

Surviving are one son, James, Muncie; two daughters, Daisy Koger, Redkey, and Betty Heath, Marion; one brother, William Jackson, Muncie; 10 grandchildren; three step-grandsons; six great-grandchildren; and 12 step-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Parson Mortuary chapel. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday.
