Allen, Frank R. 86, passed away May 30, 2010 in San Luis Obispo, California. He was born Oct. 9, 1923 near Elbert, Colorado. His family moved to the Carthage, MO area for several years and returned to Elbert. Frank joined the CCC's at the Marine Corps and served in the Pacific theater. He married Veda Murray in Jan. 1947 and moved to Denver, CO, where he resided until moving to San Luis Obispo, CA in 2007. Frank worked at Gates Rubber Co. as a tire inspector for over 38 years, retiring in 1985. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Veda, his on Monte and wife Betty, 3 grandsons and brother Don Allen.
