Mrs. Brown, 66, of Denver, NC died Friday October 15, 2010 at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center.
Born November 6, 1943 in Mooresville NC she was a daughter of the late Joseph Bruce Thornburg and Rosaline Winecoff Thornburg.
She graduated from North Mecklenburg High School class of 1962, enjoyed playing spades, reading, sewing and eating out.
She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church for 45 years where she sang in the choir.
Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Monday October 18 at Bethel United Methodist Church with Rev. Tony Matthews officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the graveside at the church.
A loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother she leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Clifford Wayne Brown; son, Alex Dellinger of Denver; daughters, Amy Edwards and husband Greg of Sherrills Ford, NC and Angie Lagano and husband Brad of Charlotte; granddaughters, Ellie and Mary Edwards.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Thornburg Marshall.
