Mr. Parent had lived in the twin cities all of his life with the exception of the time he served in the Wisconsin National Guard from June 21, 1916, to Feb 28, 1917. He was born April 5, 1890 at Marinette.
Mr. Parent had been a carpenter all of his life. In 1917 he married the former Augusta Wolfe, who died in 1940. In 1962 he married the former Edith Bundy, who died in 1958.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Henry Hartman of Oconto, Mrs. Raymond Baumler of Menominee and Mrs. Kenneth Abraham of Appleton; a brother, Clarence Parent of Oklahoma City; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Richard Noble of First Methodist Church will officiate at private services Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Zeitler funeral home where friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery.
