Bertha M. ENGLE BENNETT, 90, Highland, died Friday. Born in Akron, she had lived in Highland since 1941. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America.
Survivors include two sons, William Hershel and wife Sandra Bennett, Hammond, and Robert Lee and wife Lanan Bennett, St. Petersburg, Fla.; six grandchildren, Lynn and husband Jeffrey Kapp, William D. and James R. Bennett, John R., Robert L. and Brooke L. Bennett; kind caregiver Boyka; and good friend, Lillian Hurst. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, William Henry Bennett, and two brothers, Ronald and George Engle.
Services were at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, 2828 Highway Avenue, Highland. Graveside services were at 1 p.m. today at Akron Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
