Paul Jackson Austin, 86, of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Friday, October 15, 2010 at CMC-NorthEast.
Born on March 3, 1924 in Stanly County to the late James Tom and Ada Maggie Parker Austin.
He was also preceded in death by a son Jack Austin, brother Marvin Lee Austin, and sister Estelle Byrd.
Paul was a graduate of New London High School, and a charter member of Glorietta Baptist Church.
A visitation will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Concord on Sunday, October 17, 2010 from 1 until 1:45 PM. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM in the chapel, with Rev. Bill Nix officiating. Burial will follow at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens.
Survived by: wife, Hazel Austin of the home; son, Marvin Austin of Mt. Pleasant; sister, Margie Adams of Virginia; granddaughter, Lori Long of Richfield; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Brooklen, and Hunter Hudson.
