Alma Mae Adams, 84, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Friday, November 30, 2001 at the Caruthersville Nursing Home.
Born June 20, 1917, in Pemiscot County, Mo., daughter of the late George Washington and Mazie Odom Wyatt, she was a seamress with Brown Shoe Co. prior to her retirement and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Caruthersville.
On April 5, 1952, in Piggott, Ark., she married Henry Edward Adams, who preceded her in death on December 18, 1999.
Survivors include one daughter, Sue C. Bess, of Caruthersville; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters and one son, Raymond Michael Cole.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Monday, December 3, at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Caruthersville with Rev. Dwight Chapman officiating.
Burial was in the Little Prairie Cemetery at Caruthersville.
