Mrs. Emma Allen Bauman, 87, of Sebring Road, Brighton Township, died Thursday, Aug. 23, 1973, in the Elmcrest Extended Care Facility, South Beaver Township, following an extended illness. Born Sept. 8, 1885, in Ridgway, Pa., daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Kimbley Balmer, she resided in the Beaver area 50 years. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Lillian) Wendell, Industry, Mrs. Clyde (Ruth) Lasher, Miami, Fla., Mrs. Stuart (Gertrude) Hoy, Boalsburg, Pa., and Mrs. Robert (Margaret) Retzer, Brighton Township; six grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. A son, Harold, died in 1951. Friends will be received Saturday after 7:30 p.m. Sunday from 12 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the J.R. Todd Funeral Home, Beaver, where a service will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. by Rev. Paul Breen, pastor of the Christian Missionary and Alliance Church, Midland Heights. Interment will be in Beaver Cemetery.
