Daughter of Douglas Moses and Annie B. Shaw Miller. Married Connie Kestner in 1907, they had a daughter Ruby M. Kestner in 1909. He either died or they divorced as Katie and Ruby were back home with her parents on 1910 census. She then married John Oscar Butler, he died in 1942, Katie was informant on his death certificate. She then became the third wife of Charles Henry Swank 26 JUN 1950 in Shelbina, Shelby County, Missouri. Katie died in the Monroe Rest Home in Monroe City, Monroe City, Missouri.

DEATH OF MRS. KATIE SWANK

Mrs. Katie Swank, 64 passed away in the Monroe City Rest Home Thursday morning about 3 o'clock. She had been in poor health for several years but the last several weeks her condition became serious.
As Katie Christine Miller, daughter of Douglas and Annie Miller she was born October 8, 1889, north of town, in Marion county, where she spent her early life.
She was married to Connie Kestner and in this union one daughter was born.
She was married a second time to Oscar Butler and they lived on a farm for a number of years, after his death she moved to Hunnewell. Her marriage to Charley Swank took place several years ago. He passed away a few months after their marriage.
She united with the Methodist Church at Andrew Chapel in early life and had ever been a consistent member. She was a devoted wife, mother and sister and had many friends.
Surviving is her daughter Mrs. Charley Wood , a sister Mrs. G.V. Murray, one aunt Mrs. Fannie Patterson, two nephews and one niece.
Funeral services will be held from the Methodist church at 2 o'clock, Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Ellis Turner, burial will be in the Hunnewell Cemetery.
