Kenneth Lee Abernathy, 80, of Washougal, WA passed away on Nov. 19, 2008. Ken was born on Sept. 22, 1928 in Alamosa, CO. to Gilbert and Narissa Abernathy. Ken graduated from Ogden Meadows High School in 1948. Ken retired from Crown Zellerbach in Camas after 38 years of service. Ken was a active member of the AWPPW Local #5.
Ken is survived by his wife of 57 years Bernice; sons, Rodney of Washougal, and Gary (Carol) of Raleigh, NC; and daughter, Carol (Keith) Baker of Washougal. Also survived by grandsons, Aaron and Ryan; and great-granddaughter, Halia Baker; sister, Violet Burdick; brothers, Dale and Truman.
At Ken's request there will be no formal funeral service. Family and friends are invited to Carol and Keith Baker's home, 3515 I Street, Washougal, Saturday, November 22 between 1 pm and 4 pm to share memories.
