BROOKLINE, NH - Leonard Harrison Gonyea , 80, of Brookline, New Hampshire, passed away Monday May 5th at St. Josephs Hospital in Nashua, NH. Born in Piercefield, NY to the late James and Georgianna (Rule) Gonyea , he lived most of his life in Ludlow. Leonard was a U.S. Navy Veteran during WWII and retired from Sweet Life Foods in Suffield, CT after 20 years of service. He was predeceased by his wife, Lillian (Talbot) Gonyea in 1993 and by his son, Leonard B. Gonyea in 1991. He is survived by his daughter, Lynn Marsan and her husband Christopher of Brookline, NH; his sister, Gladys Polypow of Ludlow; his daughter-in-law, Margaret MacNeil and her husband Michael of Wilbraham and three grandchildren, Emily Gonyea of Wilbraham and Alyssa Marsan and Celeste Marsan, both of Brookline, NH and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, James, and Walton, and five sisters, Martha, Madeline, Mildred, Verla, and Shirley. Family and friends are invited to meet on Friday May 9th at 9AM at the Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St., Indian Orchard followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10AM at St. John the Baptist Church, Ludlow. Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Springfield. Calling hours will be held on Thursday May 8th from 4 - 8pm in the funeral home. Ratell Funeral Home
