---Mabel F. Miller, 87, Washington, died Monday, November 9, 1987, at Washington County Hospital after a two-week illness.
---Services will be held Thursday, November 12, at 1:30 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home in Washington. Family will be present at visitation Wednesday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
---Burial will be in the Ainsworth Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
---She was born February 19, 1900, at Gifford, Missouri, to Jerome and Emily Miller Shoemucker. On January 19, 1924, she married W.G. Miller in Missouri. He died in 1955.
---She was a cook at Ainsworth High School and later worked at Maplecrest Turkey Plant in Kalona until her retirement in 1968.
---Survivors include two sons, Louis Miller, Columbus Junction, and Roy Miller, Wayland; three daughters, Wanda Parcell, Birmingham, Betty Hixson, Columbus Junction, and Wilma Craig, Washington; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
---She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, two grandsons, one great-grandson, two sisters, and four brothers.
