Jesse Aaron Allen, 60, died Wednesday at Bulloch Memorial Hospital in Statesboro after a long illness. The native of Tattnall County was a former longtime resident of Chatham County and had lived in Bulloch County the past nine years. He was a member of Leefield Baptist Church in Bulloch County and was a retired building contractor.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Alice Tucker Allen of Brooklet; a son, Bobby Allen of Savannah; two daughters, Mrs. Cathy Deal of Statesboro and Miss Cindy Allen of Atlanta; a brother, J. D. Allen of Statesboro; a sister, Mrs. Helen Brown of Brooklet; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services: 4 p.m. today at Leefield Baptist Church, burial in Brooklet City Cemetery, Barnes-Hodges Funeral Home of Statesboro.
