A SAD DEATH

Mr. Ernest Brantly died Wednesday at a Shreveport Sanitarium where he had gone on Sunday evening before for an operation for appendicitis. He was 37 years old. He leaves behind him to weep over his untimely death and to fondly cherish his memory a loving wife, two little girls, an aged father and mother, brothers and sisters and a host of warm friends. His taking away is particularly sad to the members of his immediate family, who knew his virtues best, and for them there is no consolation save the living truth that really there is no death, the stars go down to shine upon some other bright shore. We can not say that death is wrong for it may be the beginning of love.

The faithful doctor and the sympathetic family did all they could to alleviate his suffering and save his young life, but God needed him as a precious addition to that redeemed host above. He was a christian man, a member of Gilgal Baptist church. The funeral took place at the Gilgal cemetery Thursday afternoon, Bro. G.B. Smalley officiating.
