Funeral services were held Wednesday, Apr. 6 at 8 p.m., at the Cedarburg funeral home for Jesse Bailey, 63, who died of a heart attack Apr. 2 in Sun City, Ariz.

The Rev. Myron Talcott officiated at the ceremony. Burial was in Zur Ruhe Cemetery, Cedarburg.

Visitation was held at the funeral home from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

He was born Mar. 23, 1925 in Barnesville, Ohio to Jesse Bailey Sr. and Lydia Hoge Bailey. He and Mary Hampton were married Sept. 8, 1946 in Iowa.

Dr. Bailey was president of Cedarburg Veterinary Clinic, a member of the American Wisconsin Veterinary Medicine Association and the Ozaukee-Washington Veterinary Association. He was also a member of the American Association of Bovine Practitioners.

He is survived by his wife, Mary, a daughter, Linda Clifford, Grafton, and two sons, Paul of West Allis and Jay of Kiel. He is also survived by four grandchildren, a brother and two sisters.
