On July 28, 1917 she was united in marriage to Gust Allen, and to this union four children were born. She has been a resident of Chariton for the past 15 years.

Her father, mother and two brothers, Axel and Arthur Bloom, have preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her departure her husband; two daughters, Phyllis and Iris, at home; two sons in the U.S. Army, Sgt. Norman Allen, of Sheppard Field, Texas, and Pvt. Donald Allen, of Camp Maxey, Texas; one granddaughter, Karen Sue Allen, of Wichita Falls, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Ahlgren and Miss Anna Bloom, both of Chicago, Illinois; and many other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services, conducted by Rev. E. J. Johnson, assisted by Rev. C. W. Thorwald, were held at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon at the First Lutheran church and burial was in the Chariton cemetery. Appropriate music was rendered by the choir and Charles Goater sang "The Prayer Perfect."
