In the passing of Mr. A. C. (Clayte) Nelson Pulaski county loses another of the splendid citizens and leading farmers. Survivors include: Mrs. A. C. Nelson, the wife of the deceased; one daughter, Mrs. Troy Alford, of Trenton Tenn.; four sons, J. D., Alfred and Grady of this county and Russell of Tallahassee Fla; four brothers, Eugene Nelson of Dooly County, C. L. Nelson, of Dodge County, Frank Nelson, of Pulaski, and G. A. Nelson, also of Pulaski; and ten grandchildren. Mr. Nelson came to this county at the age of 11 from Houston county. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Nelson and a member of the Primitive Baptist church. He married Miss Emma J. Vaughn 47 years ago. He was a man of strong character and enduring friendship. He stood for the best and was highly respected and beloved by his many friends and neighbors. He raised a family of fine citizens and he leaves throughout this section relations who stand high in the estimation of the people.
