Actress. She appeared in films for three decades, from the 1930s to the 1950s, usually in uncredited roles. In 1924 she began her career on Broadway, in the play "Flame of Love" and appeared on stage in "Kept" (1926), "Congratulations" (1929), "Penny Arcade" (1930, and "Border-Land" (1932). Her most notable film role was in the suspense film "The Bat" (1959, as 'Lizzie Allen') in which she co-starred with Agnes Moorehead, Vincent Price and Darla Hood. Some of her other films include "Imitation of Life" (1934, uncredited), "The Women" (1939, uncredited), "The Devil on Wheels" (1947, as 'Mrs. Clark')"Castle in the Desert" (1942, as 'Lucy Manderley'), and "The Mad Magician" (1954, as 'Alice Prentiss'). After appearing in "The Bat," she retired from acting. She was married to silent film star, film director, and screenwriter Crane Wilbur. She died at the age of 93.
