Nellie M. Andrews Battle Creek Nellie M. Andrews, 89, died Friday, October 8, 2010, at Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Residence. Nellie was born on May 30, 1921, in Battle Creek, the daughter of John and Patricia (Wodynski) Kenzora. She had been a lifelong resident of the area. She was united in marriage to Raymond Andrews for 25 years, he preceded her in death. She was employed at the VA Hospital Credit Union from 1966 until her retirement in 1990. She was a former member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and currently a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church. Nellie was a volunteer with the Battle Creek Leila Hospital Auxiliary and Burnham Brook. Nellie enjoyed crafts, books and basket making. Surviving is a daughter, Penny (Pete) Manarin, and a son, Dana Andrews; 3 grandchildren, Deborah (Kurt) Esselink, Tony (Kim) Manarin and Emily (Brian) Jervis; 6 great grandchildren; special niece, Pat Stewart Leonard. She was preceded in death by a son, Billy in 1945, and 2 sisters. In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5 to 8:00p.m. at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 13, 2010, at St. Jerome Catholic Church with The Rev. Matthew Manalel officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society .
