She was born in Missouri and came to Muncie as a child with her parents. Mrs. Dorton was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Walter H.; four daughters, Mrs. Robert (Wilma) Hudson, Muncie, Mrs. Norbert (Marie) Joliff, Hartford City, Mrs. William (Jane) Manring, Hamilton, Ohio, and Mrs. Richard (Rozetta) Mariotte, Reston, Virginia; two sons, Chester H. Dorton, Muncie, and Henry M. Dorton, Concord, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. John Martin and Mrs. Ted Lizenby, both of Springfield, Missouri; 13 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday in Meeks Mortuary by Rev. Jack Thomas. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery at Matthews. Friends may call at the mortuary after 3 p.m. Sunday.
