Opal Doyene Anderson

SPARTA -- Funeral services for Opal Doyene Anderson, 94, of Sparta will be held Tuesday, Nov. 13, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Dyer Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery.

Family will receive friends today, Monday, Nov. 12, from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Anderson died Saturday, Nov. 10, at Life Care Center of Sparta.

She was born March 3, 1913, in Jackson County to the late John Wesley and Avo Rogers Lee.

Mrs. Anderson was a member of First United Methodist Church of Cookeville, Delta Kappa Gamma, DAR and Eastern Star. She was a school teacher for 34 years in Jackson County.

Her family includes a daughter and son-in-law, Patsy Ellen and Dan Crevensten of Bellvue, Wash.; a son and daughter-in-law, Billy Earl and Brenda Anderson of Sparta; and three grandchildren, Henry and Nathan Crevensten and Natalee Anderson.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her husband, William Colonel Anderson; a special brother, Robert E. Lee; other brothers; and one sister.

Memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church of Cookeville, First United Methodist Church of Sparta, or to the donor's favorite charity.

Revs. Becky Larson and Rich Morgan will officiate the services.
