George A. Miller was born Nov. 26, 1857, in the town of Richford, Waushara Co., Wisconsin and passed away at his home in Westfield, on Tuesday morning, Feb. 15, 1938, at the age of 80 years, 2 months and 20 days.

On April 8, 1880, he was united in marriage to Minnie Schultz. This union was blessed with seven children; five sons and two daughters. One son and one daughter preceded him in death.

In the year of 1885, he and his family moved to Westfield, where he resided until the time of his death.

He united with the Evangelical church in his youth to which he remained faithful until his Heavenly Father called him to his eternal home.

He was a member of the building board at the time when the new Evangelical church was built. During those days and since, he was often called upon to apply his trade and skill in the repair and keeping in order of the church.

Those who mourn his departure are his sorely bereaved widow, four sons, Herman of Westfield, Arthur of Waupun, Fritz of Brandon, Harold of Portage; one daughter, Annie, at home, and four grandchildren. Others who miss him are three brothers, Albert of Westfield, Fred of California, and Willie of Bear Creek; one sister, Mrs. George Hengfuss of Westfield, and many other relatives and friends.

When all my labors and trials are o'er
And I am safe on that beautiful shore
Just to be near the dear Lord I adore,
Will through the ages be glory to me.
Friends will be there I have loved long ago,
Joy like a river around me will flow.
Yes, just a smile from the Savior I know,
Will through the ages be glory to me.
