Marlin Allen, aged 73 resident of Dierks, died Sunday, Oct. 31,1999 in Christus St. Michael Health Care Center in Texarkana.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Tuesday, Nov. 2 1999 in First Assembly of God Church in Dierks with Rev. Henry Bateman and Rev. Don Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow in Green's Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home of DeQueen.

He was born Oct. 5, 1926 in Dierks and was the son of Buddy and Lena Allen. He was an Army veteran of World War 11; a member of First Assembly of God Church of Dierks; and a Mason. He worked as a boiler operator for Dierks Lumber Company; was a logger, and a farmer and rancher having owned a chicken and cattle farm.

He is survived by his wife, three sons all of Dierks; one daughter of Glenwood; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The family will be receiving friends from 6 to 8 p. m. Monday, Nov 1 at the funeral home.
