"James F. Bryan, 65 died Monday -
James Francis Bryan, aged 65 years, 8 months, and 20 days, died at his at his home in Coopertown, at 2 o'clock Monday morning, after a long illness with asthma and complications.
Mr. Bryan had been in poor health for the past seven years and for the past three years had been confined to his bed a great part of the time. His death, while as a great shock to his relatives and friends, was not unexpected.
Mr. Bryan was born in Kentucky, April 13, 1883. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Matilda Bryan; two daughters, Mrs B. C. Mayfield, of Coffeyville, and Mrs E. L. Shelter, of Neodesha; three sisters, Mrs. Becky Choate, of Springfield, Missouri, Mrs. Alice Johnson, Neodesha, and Mrs. Lucy Yates, Independence; one brother M. M. Bryan, Neodesha; a half-brother, John Bryan of North Bend, Washington and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, from the Church of God. The pastor, the Rev. Vere Williams, conducted the services. Burial was made in the Ross cemetery west of Neodesha."
