Final Rites For Leslie Cooper Here Friday
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at Haverly Mortuary for Leslie Cooper, 74, Route 3, who died at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Bedford Medical Center. He was a retired farmer.
He was born July 6, 1869 in Lawrence County to Ira and Laura Ellen queen Cooper. He married Lucy Phillips on August 9, 1917, and she survives.
Other survivors include one son, Winfred Cooper, Mitchell; three daughters, Mrs. John (Lucy) Lynch, Mrs. James (Violet) Karr and Mrs. Charles (Kathryn) Hedrick, all of Mitchell; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Three children preceded him in death.
He was a member of the First Christiabn Church in Mitchell.
Rev. Barney Stevens will officiate a the services and burial will follow in the Sheeks Cemetery. Friends maycall at any time in Chapel B of Haverly Mortuary.
