Mrs. Mary Fern Beeler, Former Resident, Dies

Graveside rites for Mrs. Mary Fern Beeler, age 69 of Indianapolis, a native of Shoals, were held at the Sheeks Cemetery, north of Mitchell, at 1:30 p.m. Monday.

Mrs. Beeler was born in Shoals, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Fields. She was the widow of Dr. A. Dale Beeler, former Professor of Butler University, who died in July of 1963.

Mrs. Beeler was a retired teacher of the Indianapolis schools. She graduated from Indiana University and received her Master's degree from Butler University. She was a member of the Crestview Christian Church, in Indianapolis.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, in Indianapolis, and then graveside rites were held at the cemetery.

She is survived by three sons, William H. Beeler, of Indianapolis; James A. Beeler, of Cleaveland, Ohio; and Eugene F. Beeler, of Cincinnati, Ohio; five grandchildren and a brother, Albert Fields, of Bedford.
