Curt Mason, The Rocker on KKFI 90.1 FM, passed away suddenly early Friday morning, 10/1/10. He was 46 years old. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his "son" Jeff, the cat. He is survived by his wife Wendy, loving family members, co-workers and longtime friends. Curt was a long-term employee of the IRS. He lived his life to the fullest with many extraordinary experiences to share through his master storytelling while enjoying an import beer. Curt lived to rock 'n roll, which was captured by his tattoo of his favorite band Thin Lizzy. Curt was also a longtime Pittsburgh Steelers fan (or whoever was playing against the Chiefs that week). Visitation will be from 2 PM to 5 PM on Thursday, October 7th at Shawnee Full Gospel Church, 4840 Shawnee Drive, Kansas City, Kansas followed by cremation. Fond memories and condolences for the family may be left at www.legacy.com. Curt, with his piercing blue eyes, was loved by many and will be fondly remembered. A celebration of his life is being planned for a future date. Arrangements made by Kansas City Funeral Directors, 4880 Shawnee Drive, Kansas City, Kansas (913-262-6310).
