Nancy was born abt. 1821 in Montgomery County, VA to John and ? Owens. She married John W. Adams 2 Aug. 1841 in Montgomery County, VA. They had eight children:

2. Giles Montgomery Adams (b. 26 Jul 1844 in Montgomery County, VA - d. 29 Dec 1919 in Salem, Roanoke County, VA) Company 179 Regt., Ohio Infantry, UNION; He was married to Mildred Flowers (dau. of James A. "Cricket" and Elizabeth Amos Flowers) on 24 Dec 1866 in Roanoke County, VA.

3. William Jackson Adams (b. 25 Jul 1847 in Montgomery County, VA - d. 14 Dec 1933 in Ona, Cabell Co., West VA) Company 179 Regt., Ohio Infantry, UNION; He was married to Virginia Frances "Jenny" Chapman on 12 Jan 1871 in Cabell County, West Virginia.

4. Mary Ann Adams (b. 1851 in Montgomery County, VA - d. 23 Aug 1853 in Montgomery County, VA)

6. Nancy Virginia "Ginnie" Adams (b. 26 Jun 1854 in Montgomery County, VA - d. 15 May 1936 in Chamblissburg, Bedford County, VA) She was married to Henry Zachariah Flowers (s/o James A. "Cricket" and Elizabeth Amos Flowers) on 11 Nov 1874 in Bedford County, VA.

7. John Wesley Adams (b. Jun 1857 in Montgomery County, VA - d. 27 Apr 1906 in Fudge Creek, Cabell County, West Virginia) He married Lelia Frances "Fanny" Chapman on 6 Mar 1890 in Cabell County, West Virginia.

8. Susan Lucretia Adams (b. 14 Dec 1859 in Montgomery County, VA - d. 1 Jan 1937 in Milton, Cabell Co., West VA) She was married to Jefferson Davis Chapman on 7 Apr 1885 in Cabell County, West Virginia.


Around 1860 - 1863, John and Nancy moved to Roanoke County, VA. John died there in 1865. On 14 Apr 1870, Nancy married her son Giles' father-in-law, James A. "Cricket" Flowers and moved to Bedford. Her daughter, Nancy, lived with them and the children that James still had at home from his marriage to Elizabeth Amos (abt. 1810 - 1867). Her daughter, Susan Lucretia Adams, lived in Salem with her brother Giles.

Nancy died sometime after 1880 in Bedford County, VA.

Nancy was born abt. 1821 in Montgomery County, VA to John and ? Owens. She married John W. Adams 2 Aug. 1841 in Montgomery County, VA. They had eight children:

Around 1860 - 1863, John and Nancy moved to Roanoke County, VA. John died there in 1865. On 14 Apr 1870, Nancy married her son Giles' father-in-law, James A. "Cricket" Flowers and moved to Bedford. Her daughter, Nancy, lived with them and the children that James still had at home from his marriage to Elizabeth Amos (abt. 1810 - 1867). Her daughter, Susan Lucretia Adams, lived in Salem with her brother Giles.

Nancy died sometime after 1880 in Bedford County, VA.
