JOSEPH N. ALCORN, JR died at his home in Winter Springs, FL. Joe was born to Joseph and Mary Alcorn in Bell Township, PA. His grandfather was Robert Nicolls Alcorn. In 1940, he married Jane Lynch, who preceded him in death in 2006. He graduated from Penn State University with a B.S. in Industrial Engineering and was employed with the Pittsburgh firm, Dick Corporation. Joe served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII. He was a 50 year member of the Free and Accepted Masons. He is survived by his children, Joseph (Nick), III (Carol) of Saltsburg, PA, Penelope Alcorn of Naples, FL, Candace Alcorn of Oviedo, FL and Kathryn (Charles) Bailey of Oviedo, FL; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He had 3 sisters, Margaret (Fred) Ewing, Jane (Jim) Zimmerman and Catherine (George) Rise. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Bash Neid Funeral Home in Delmont, PA. A funeral service will be held at the Poke Run Presbyterian Church in Apollo, PA.
