Obituary
Funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2006, in Martin & Castille Funeral Home of Scott for Gladys Forrestier, 80, the former Gladys Guidry, who died Thursday, April 20, 2006, in Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.

Interment will be in St. Theresa Cemetery in Duson, Louisiana.

The Rev. Elbert R. Willis, pastor of Christian Center Church, conducted the funeral services.

Suvivors include five sons, Harold Forrestier and his wife Barbara of Cade, LA, Robley Forrestier and his wife, Vickie of Lafayette, Rodney Forrestier and his wife, Clara, of Scott, Patrick Forrestier and his wife Sally, of Mire, Ricky Forrestier and his wife, Karen, of Carencro, two daughters, Peggy Forrestier Vallot and her husband Tony, of Delcambre and Carleen F Robin and her husband Glenn, of Carencro, one sister, Ruby Guidry of Rayne, one brother Nerby Guidry and his wife, Laura of Duson; 26 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Simon Forrestier, her parents, Ganzule and Julia Richard Guidry, one brother Chester Guidry; and one niece, Annette Garcia.

A native of Rayne and a resident of Duson for ten years, Mrs. Forrestier was a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her. She enjoyed working in her yard where she took time to enjoy her flowers, birds and spending time with family.

Pallbearers were Cody Lavergne, Rodney Forrestier, Ricky Forrestier, Robley Forrestier, Glenn Robin and Kenny Forrestier.
Honorary pallbearers were all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
