Mrs. Mayme Beal, 84, Lafayette, Dies
Mrs. Mayme Beal, 84, of Lafayette, died at 12:30 p.m. Monday, July 16, in Americana nursing center, Lafayette. She had been in failing health a year.
Born in Remington, she had resided 35 years in Rensselaer before moving to Lafayette about four years ago. She also had lived in Wolcott and Goodland. She was married in 1915 at Watseka, Ill. to William G. "Newt" Bael, who died in 1959. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist church of Rensselaer and a 50-year member of the Pythian Sisters.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Philip (Manette) Grant, of Lafayette, and a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Dowell of Remington.
Also surviving are six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Three sister proceded her in death.
Funeral services were held in Renssleaer Thurday and interment was in Remington Cemetery.
