Betty (Bowman) Beam, 72, of Shepherdsville, returned to her Heavenly Father Thursday, September 30, 2010 at Belmont Village in Louisville. Ms. Beam retired from Jim Beam Brand's in 1998 after 42 years of service and was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Shepherdsville.

Among those who preceded her in death include her parents, James Leo and Zelma Clara Raley Bowman. She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Carla Richenberg (Gary); four grandchildren, Chris and Adam Skees and Abbey and Jake Richenberg; one great-grandson, Zachary Skees; three brothers, James "Bud" Bowman (Carol Sue), Richard Bowman (and the late Carliss) and John Bowman (Martha); two sisters, Sue Hines (Russell) and Brenda Waters (Charles, Jr,); and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Shepherdsville celebrated by Rev. Mike Toben, with burial in the Calvary Cemetery Friends may pay their respects from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Road).

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to Lebanon Junction Christian Academy, 270 S. Sanders Lane, Lebanon Junction, KY 40150.
