Pearlie was born October 12, 1938 to the late Raymond and Equilla (Clemons) Messer. On April 21, 1955 she married Johnny Conley, who died April 27, 2009.
Surviving are five sons, Johnny Calvin (Carol) of Medaryville, Raymond Lewis (Charlene) of Wrightsville, Georgia, Keith Randal (Joy) of Lakeland, FL, Paul David (Terri) of Wheatfield, Andrew James (Lisa) of Francesville; two daughters, Natalie Sue (Kevin) Wenzel of Francesville, Rebecca Ann (Danny) Barkho of Wheatfield; twenty-four grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchildren.
She was born in Knott County, Kentucky, and the family moved to Indiana when she was six years old. She spent many years working for Gehring Farms. She attended Wheatfield High School for two years and got her GED in 1979. She worked at Gudeman's Market, cooked at West Central High School, and ran Pearlie Mae's Restaurant for twenty-nine years. Her joy was her family!
She loved to raise garden, crochet, sew, and quilt.
She was baptized into Gillam Township Church in 1965.
Her siblings are Ruby Messer (deceased), Prudy Dobson of Rensselaer, Patsy Clark (Jim Mapple) of Rochester, Helen Messer of San Pierre, Kinnie (Judy) Messer of Rensselaer, Paula (Dave) Abbring of Demotte; and sister-in-law, Joyce.
She had many nieces and nephews whom she loved.
