Mrs. Mary August Carruthers, 75, of 632 N. 11th St., Murphysboro, was found dead in bed at her home early today. Death was attributed to heart complications.
She was born Aug. 23,1895, in Ava, the daughter of David L. and Augusta Kessel Manor.
She was married Sept. 17 1919, in Murphysboro, to Harold Vane Carruthers.
Survivors include her husband; sons, John of Tamaroa, Harry and Luther, both of Boise Idaho, Steve and Walter both of Momence, and Earl of Ava; daughters, Mrs. Mary Ruth Kenshalo of Pittsburg, Kan., and Mrs. Sue Cowsert of De Soto; and 13 grandchildren.
