Pamela Loretta Olsen Bailey, 68. returned home to her Heavenly Father on Thurs., Sept. 23, 2010.

She was born Oct. 7, 1941, to Ernest and Iva Olsen in Mt. Pleasant, Utah. She was the seventh of eight children. She will forever be remembered and honored as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her infectious laugh and quick warm smile will be greatly missed.

Gordon and Pamela were sealed in the Manti Temple on May 12, 1961. He is the love of her life, companion and sweetheart of 49 wonderful years.

Her greatest love and passion in life was her family. She also loved camping, family barbecues, reading, long rides and just being with family. She was a people person who loved everyone and made everyone around her happy.

Pam was very unselfish, putting the needs of others above her own. She celebrated other's successes and wanted to be involved in their lives. She was always happy and positive, never complaining about life's challenges. Pam found joy in life's journey and made every family event brighter.

She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and has cheerfully served in many callings. She served 20 years in the primary, 12 years as an ordinance worker in the Vernal Temple and many other callings which she accepted gratefully and served wholeheartedly.

She is survived by her eternal companion, Gordon Clarence Bailey; and her children, Alan (Laurel) Bailey, Angela (George) Karren, Amberly (Justin) Dennis, Keith Bailey and 12 wonderful grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Iva Olsen; brothers Blaine and Lloyd Olsen; sister Fern McDaniel; and father- and mother-in-law Fred and Esther Bailey. Pam was loved and appreciated by her brothers and sisters.

Funeral services were held on Sept. 28, 2010, in the Maeser 4th Ward LDS Chapel, with internment in the Maeser-Fairview cemetery. Services were under the direction of Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
