Rutgers University freshman college student. Renowned high school violinist. Son of Joseph Clementi. Tyler graduated in June, 2010, from Ridgewood High School in New Jersey, where he was well-known for his musical prowess. He is remembered as a virtuoso violinist who had the capacity to "blow audiences away" with his talent. His family's attorney says that, "Tyler was a fine young man, and a distinguished musician." Reportedly, he had a music scholarship at Rutgers.

One friend and high school classmate is quoted as saying: "Tyler was truly one of the sweetest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He was always smiling and joking around in the classes we had together last year, and I feel so blessed to have spent time with him."

Another friend said: "He was so professional, so talented. Everyone liked him."

Tyler was a member of the Ridgewood Symphony Orchestra and the Bergen Youth Orchestras. He received the National School Orchestra Award in June, 2010. He also worked as a violinist in a Porchlight Studios production in February, 2009, "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change."
