Wife of Everett R. Alley

Elsie Roop Alley, age 89 of 4640 Blackhollow Road Dublin, and the Pulaski Health and Rehabilitation Center died Tuesday October 28, 2003 at the Health Care Center.

Born December 3, 1913 in Pulaski County, she was the daughter of the late Lucy Albert Roop and Samuel Hampton Roop.

She was a member of the First Christian Church with over 75 years membership. Mrs. Alley worked many years at the Sadler Hosiery Mill and later at Radford Community Hospital.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Everett Richard Alley, Sr. Two sisters; Loma R. Fristoe of Front Royal, Va., and Francis R. Crosier of Radford.

Also survived by 5 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Pulaski with the Rev. Randy Winn and the Rev. Cecil Deel officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Visiting will be anytime Thursday after 2:00 P.M. at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Arrangements by Thomas M. Seagle & Sons Funeral Home, Pulaski.
